Meet the Artist
Born with a brush in his hand and a heart tuned to the Lord, CD Wisinger (Chris) has been painting for as long as he can remember. Chris sees watercolor as a gift from God, a way to praise the Creator by honoring the beauty of everyday life. In high school he earned numerous awards and even fielded college offers for fine art, but his path led him into marketing, where for decades he used his creativity to spark fresh, effective ideas. Alongside that work, he’s led high-performing sales teams for more than 30 years—experience that sharpened his eye for people, stories, and honest craftsmanship.
His paintings return to the places that shaped him: open fields, old trucks, worn fence posts, sun-faded barns, and the sturdy farm machines that kept life moving. Old tractors, classic trucks, vintage gas pumps, and the tools and signage that once lined rural roads all find new life in his work. Through transparent washes and patient detail, he captures the dignity of things built to last and the grace of time’s gentle wear.
Each piece I paint is an invitation to slow down, remember and give thanks.
